Traveling collection come to Sussex County

SUSSEX COUNTY-Master Falconer and Wildlife Rehabilitator Jonathan Wood of New York's Catskill Mountains has assembled a traveling collection of eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls. Many of his birds have permanent handicaps, preventing them from being re-introduced back to the wild. Some faced euthanization at crowded wildlife centers across the country and have now been tamed and trained to educate the public as ambassadors of their species and the environments they inhabit. Sussex County Community College will present Jonathan Wood and his Raptor Project at 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2 in the College Theatre. The presentation is free. With skills honed from over thirty year of experience, Wood has produced an award-winning program and exhibit that is seen each year by almost 10 million people.
