Taproot to rock out the Stanhope House

STANHOPE — Michigan hard rock luminary, Taproot, has announced a new string of tour-dates to wrap up the band’s headlining “Gift” tour. The three-week run, which will see the band perform its debut album Gift in its entirety, will kick off June 21 in Toledo, Ohio. It will be making a stop at the Stanhope House in Stanhope on Wednesday, June 26.
“We are extremely excited to get back on the road and play Gift in its entirety one final time for this last leg of the ‘Gift’ tour,” said vocalist/guitarist Stephen Richards. “This has been a treat for us and our fans, a journey back in time we’ve been told, and we’re looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces out East.”
Since its inception more than a decade ago, Taproot has seen success that most bands have only dreamed of. The Ann Arbor group has sold more than 1.5 million records in its career while producing one charting single after another, including the hit single “Poem” which peaked at #5 on Billboard’s “Mainstream Rock Tracks” chart.
The band’s sophomore 2002 release Welcome is currently pushing towards gold status (500,000 units shipped) as the group continues to tour behind its latest album, 2012’s, The Episodes, which was released on Victory Records.
Taproot plans to release its seventh studio album in early 2014.
