Diane's Dance Academy 23 scores big at MBC Competition in Pennsylvania

Newfoundland — Diane’s Dance Academy 23, located off Route 23 in Newfoundland, kicked off their competition season with an excellent showing at the MBC Competition at the Fernwood Resort in Bushkill, Pa. Twenty dancers, ranging in age from 5 to 13, performed 35 routines, bringing home 25 awards for Diane’s Dance Academy in several different styles including acro, ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and open. The MBC Competition awards the top three routines in each competition. Dancers from Diane’s Dance Academy competed against four other dance academies. Of the 25 awards won by the academy’s dancers, 18 of them were first place awards. “All of the dancers at Diane’s Dance performed wonderfully,” said owner Diane Polukord. “This was their first competition for the season and we couldn’t be happier regarding their performance at the MBC Competition. They danced their hearts out and were definitely rewarded accordingly.” Continuing their efforts to give back to their community, the dancers recently performed at the Jefferson Chase Retirement Home in Oak Ridge.
