Comedy Night to benefit D.O.G.S. of Vernon

The first ever Comedy Night Fundraiser to support Vernon Dog Park will be held on Saturday Sept. 28, at the Vernon VFW. Doors open at 8 p.m. and comedy begins at 9 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a night of laughter, drinks, and food featuring three professional comics. Peter Sasso, the headliner, has appeared on Comedy Central and was a cruise ship entertainer of the year 15 years in a row. Chips Cooney was a finalist on America’s Got Talent. And Missy Allan has pilots with SpikeTV and Lifetime.

There will be a cash bar, and light appetizers will be provided for free, thanks in part to donations by The Market Place Deli in Highland Lakes and ACME Markets.

People interested in attending are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time as seats are limited.Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. They can be purchased directly at bitly.com/VDP_Comedy2019 or via the park’s website www.dogsofvernon.org.

Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Vernon Street Fair on Saturday, Sept. 7, by visiting the dog park booth. All proceeds benefit Vernon Dog Park, which provides a safe, healthy place for the 5,000+ local dogs to get proper exercise and socialization. The park does not receive taxpayer funding to maintain facilities.
