Award winning multimedia artist to teach art workshop

SUSSEX COUNTY-The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council offers Art Workshops taught by award winning multimedia artist Alice Harrison at the Arts Center, 9 Moran Street, Newton. The first workshop, Multimedia Collage, will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25 and Tuesday, Oct. 26, with a free demonstration at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22. The workshop will teach the beginning or experienced artist how to make new art from old and found materials. The cost for the two classes is $40. The second workshop, Image Transfer, to be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8 and Tuesday, Nov. 9, will teach the artist to create without a brush. Polaroid image transfer, emulsion transfer and printing without a press will be the focus. The cost for the two classes is $40. Seating is limited. To reserve a place, call 973-383-0027.
