School board member dies
Elaine Colianni, a member of the Vernon Township Board of Education, died Sunday, April 7 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 78.
Colianni was elected to the school board in November.
She had lived in Vernon since 1977 and had owned and operated the Doll Carriage, a doll-making shop.
School district offers special education, services
The Vernon Township School District is committed to identifying and serving all children ages 3-21 who may be in need of special education and related services.
The Vernon Child Study Team conducts evaluations, if warranted, for children and/or adult students who may have developmental delays in cognitive, communication, social emotional or motor skills.
Assessment, professional guidance and a specialized program, if needed, are all available at no cost to parents.
