    July 20Jason L. Crozier, 44, of Vernon pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault, and one violation of probation.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 18.

    July 27Angelo R. Manzo, 51, of Bergenfield pleaded guilty to fourth-degree driving with a suspended license and the motor vehicle offense of driving while intoxicated.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 25.

    On June 13, in Vernon, Manzo was observed driving in the opposite lane of travel and swerving. After being pulled over, he failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. Investigation revealed that Manzo’s driver’s license was suspended for prior convictions for driving while intoxicated. The matter was investigated by Patrolman B. Pindyck of the Vernon Township Police Department.

    William Finan, 52, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a crime of the third degree.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 25.

    The defendant and some friends were joking around together when Finan became enraged from comments made to him, prompting him to brandish a knife in a threatening manner.

    Kristine Oliver, 35, of Hardyston pleaded guilty to third-degree false public alarms.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 18.

    On Jan. 26, a member of Oliver’s family contacted the Hardyston Township Police after receiving a text message reporting the defendant’s death, causing three officers to respond and check on her well-being. Oliver was found to be fine and admitted sending the text message. The matter was investigated by Patrolman M. Petershack of the Hardyston Township Police Department.

    July 31Zachary J. Tabor, 25, of Andovere was sentenced to 2 years of non-custodial probation and was given credit for time served. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $210 and continue his curent treatment program and follow any after-care instructions. He must pay total fines and penalties of $1,330 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.

    He pleaded guilty on April 20, to distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and forgery, all crimes of the third degree. Tabor admitted to selling heroin to a person cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Unit on April 10, 2013, in Andover Township. He further admitted to cashing a check he knew to be forged on July 31, 2014, in Netcong. During the course of that investigation he was found to be in possession of a small amount of Heroin. The matter was investigated by Patrolman Montella of the Stanhope Borough Police Department.

    Charles J. Perdue, 32, of Sparta was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. His driving privileges were suspended for 10 years. He was ordered to attend 48 hours of IDRC classes and utilize an ignition interlock device for twelve 12 months. He must pay total fines and penalties of $1,405 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.

    He pleaded guilty on May 18 to fourth-degree driving while license is suspended and the motor vehicle offense of driving while intoxicated. After being pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign on March 24, in Sparta, Perdue admitted to driving with a suspended license. He was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The matter was investigated by Patrolman K. Morris of the Sparta Township Police Department.

    Jessica L. Worden, 30, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to 2 years of probation to run concurrent to a probationary term she is currently serving. She was ordered to continue with her current treatment and recovery program and may be requested to submit to a TASC evaluation. She must pay total fines and penalties of $1,735 and submit a DNA sample at her expense.

    She pleaded guilty on June 29 to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and the motor vehicle offense of driving while suspended. Worden admitted to being in possession of heroin during a motor vehicle stop in Vernon on March 6. The matter was investigated by Corporal K. Kuzicki of the Vernon Township Police Department.

    Aug. 3Ramon Perez, 62, of Sussex Borough pleaded guilty to four counts of fourth-degree issuing bad checks and one count of third-degree issuing bad checks.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 2.

    Between Nov. 5, 2014, and Feb. 18, 2015, Perez issued five checks to three different local businesses on bank accounts that were either closed or did not have sufficient funds to cover the checks.
