Appreciation for county officers

I want to express my appreciation for the professionalism exhibited by our county offices.

The Sussex County Board of Elections with Marge McCabe as administrator, Ellen Griffith as deputy administrator, Dorleen Donahue, and the rest of the staff are always accommodating and professional. Whenever I have called upon them for assistance, questions, and services, they respond immediately and respectfully. I enjoy calling their office, but I prefer to stop in, in person, as the atmosphere in their office is always pleasant and uplifting. The recent comments made by Vernon Councilman Brian Lynch, directed at the Board of Elections, were inappropriate and way off the mark. He could take a lesson from the professionalism in which the staff at our Board of Elections operates.

I want to also express my appreciation for the Sussex County Clerk’s Office with Jeff Parrott as our county Clerk, Angelo Rosa as deputy clerk, and the rest of the staff. Just as with the Board of Elections office, the phone calls are answered promptly and assistance is immediate. I generally ask for Mr. Parrott; he is always there and picks up the call. If he is on another call or just stepped out of the office for a moment, he calls back, immediately. I greatly appreciate his respectful accommodation of the public. Mr. Parrott is a true public servant — knowledgeable and professional. Both of these offices stand as good examples of real value for the taxpayers. I know many who feel the same — thank you.
