    Ruth Banfield Ziegman, 100, passed away on Friday Aug. 21, 2015, at Bristol Glen Nursing Home, Newton, N.J. Ruth was born on March 9, 1915, in Newark, NJ to the late Fred and Amy (nee Gee) Moffett. She was a resident of Rutherford, Whiting, and Franklin before moving to Newton, N.J.

    Ruth was employed as a data processer for Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company in Newark for many years retiring in 1980. She enjoyed reading doing crossword puzzles and visiting the beach and was an accomplished seamstress.

    Ruth was predeceased by her husbands, Carroll Banfield and Edward Ziegman and a sister, Dorothy Van Demark.

    She is survived by a son, Carl Banfield and his wife, Carolyn, of Franklin, and her two grandsons, Scott Banfield and his wife, Jennifer, of State College, Pa., and Kurt Banfield and his wife, Lindsey, of Wantage, and her granddaughter, Kellie Bentrewicz and her husband, Brian, of Long Valley, and her seven great-grandchildren, Autumn, Jacob, Mitchell and Emily Banfield, Brady, Tyler and Kassi Bentrewicz, and her two stepgreat-grandchildren, Connor and Maya, and her sister Janet Muller of Pt. Pleasant., and her nieces and nephews.

    Relatives and friends were received on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 2-5 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J. and may attend funeral services at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m., committal interment services at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst, NJ.
