    July 30Christopher Jiminez, 22, of Sussex Borough was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and careless driving after police were dispatched to the area of Lounsberry Hollow Road for a vehicle crashed into a utility pole with power lines down across the roadway.

    Police allege Jiminez failed several roadside sobriety tests. He was sent to the hospital for further medical treatment.

    Jiminez was released to family pending a court appearance in Vernon Township Municipal Court.

    Aug. 1Derek F. Durand, 20, Vernon was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and under age DWI after police said they observed a Volkswagen Jetta pulling out of Burger King on Route 94 erattically.

    Police said they observed the vhiecle travel north in the southbound lane. Police said the vehicle was stopped on Malibu Drive.

    Police allege Durand failed several roadside sobriety tests..

    He was released pending an appearance in Vernon Municipal Court.

    Aug. 3Maggie Petrasek, 22, of Newton was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after police said they saw a grey Mazda traveling south on Route 94 in McAfee.

    Police said a random search was conducted of the vehiclee's registration and police allege Petrasek had a suspended license and active arrest warrant. Police said the vehicle was towed after it was determined Petrasek's vehicle was not insured.

    She was released after posting $450 bail.

    Aug. 4Desiree A. Mathews, 49, of Highland Lakes was charged with driving with a suspended license after police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canistear road.

    Police said Mathews also had an outstanding warrant out of North Caldwell for $250.

    Police said Mathews posted bail and was released.
