Skylands Gallery plans August exhibition

WANTAGE — The 15 artists of Skylands Gallery will host its next Exhibit and Reception: Carnival on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. The artists will exhibit many new pieces in their expanded gallery space, hand-crafted pieces all from local artisans, pottery, jewelry and stained-glass.

Dozens of new works are being created for this show and there will be more than 300 on exhibit.

MaryAnn Grib and Pat Whittle are the two finalists for the August competition. Both artists art will be displayed and the first-place winner will be announced the evening of the show.

Live music will be by tri-state sensation Meg Beattie & Michael Williams.

For the August show, the artists will be benefiting DASI in Newton with 10 percent of all sales going to DASI.
