Candidates file school board petitions

Five candidates have submitted petitions seeking three seats on the Vernon Township School District Board of Education in the Nov. 3 general election.

Petitions for the school board component of the general election were due at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 27.

Incumbents Robert Hughes and William Higgins will face challengers from Bradley D. Sparta, Theresa Scura Coughlin and Justine VanBlarcom.

Six candidates will vie for three Wantage-based seats on the Sussex-Wantage Regional School District Board of Education. Incumbents Daniel Wask and Robert Maikis will face challenges from Susan Langan, Amber Simons, Ryan Colye and Robert E. Osborn, Jr. There are no Sussex Borough seats available.

Two people will seek a Wantage-based seat on the High Point Regional High School Board of Education. Incumbent Wayne Dunn will be challenged by Nicholas D'Agostino. There are no open seats from Sussex Borough.
