July 10Antonio Rodriguez, 49, of Sussex Boroughwas charged with driving while intoxicated and using a wireless telephone while driving.

Police said they responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lake Pochung Road.

He was released pending a court appearance in Vernon Township Municipal Court.

July 19Mary F. Jones, 46, of Wantage was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a minor in a vehicle, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right and driving with an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

Police said they received a call concerning a motorist concerned with an erratic driver. Police allege the vehicle was observed operatingin the oncoming lane of travel and the driver was unable to maintain her lane. Police allege Jones was unable to properly perform field sobriety test.

July 21Edward A Schwartz, 36, of Hihgland Lakes was charged on two warrants.

Police said they conducted a motor vehicle stop at 6:55 p.m. for a minor equipment violation. Police said a computer check revealed Schwartz had a body warrant issued by Bergen County Superior Court and a traffic warrant issued by Ringwood Municipal Court.

Schwartz was transported to the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.

July 25Cameron Piela, 22, of Vernon was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and speeding. Police said at about 3 a.m., they stopped a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on County Highway 565.

Police allege they detected an odor of alcohol coming from the driver's breath and conducted field sobriety tests.

After being a transported back to police headquarters, Piela was released pending a future court date.
