July 13A juvenile was charged with unlawful taking of means of conveyance, a violation of the municipal sportbike/ATV ordinance, driving an unregistered vehicle, operating an uninsuredvehicle, operating an ATV without a suitable helmet and being an unlicensed driver.

Police said officers observed a juvenile male operating an ATV on a public roadway in Lake Panorama. The officers said they recognized the juvenile from previous encounters and complaints from area residents. Police said they told the juvenile to turn off the ATV and walk it back to his residence. Police allege the juvenile did not return to his residence and hid from police. Police said they contacted the owner, who alleged the juvenile did not have permission to use the vehicle.
