Glider lands in Maple Grange Park

A glider plane made an emergency landing in Maple Grange Park on Friday, July 17, afternoon.

Police said the pilot, a 55-year-old man from Ringwood told police he took off from Middletown, N.Y., and was flying to Hackettstown when he lost lift. Police said the pilot said he was forced to look for a safe place to land and navigated the plane onto the empty Maple Grange Park field.

Police said there were no injuries reported.
