Sussex Antlers offer clean cars and baked goodies

Tractor Supply aided the members of the Sussex Antlers with the use of their parking lot and store entrance area for a car wash and bake sale on Sunday.

The Route 23 location and the sunny weather helped encourage drivers to come clean as a steady stream of cars and trucks pulled in and lined up for a car washing. Baked goods also were available for sale.

According to head advisor Ashley Green, the group has 10 active members aged 11 to 20 and the group is one of three in the county, although there are only 30 chapters in the entire country at this point.

Sussex Antlers No. 5 is the youth group to the Sussex Elks. All proceeds from the event are earmarked to benefit the Antlers’ charitable work, which includes working with special needs children and veterans as well as drug awareness for the community good.
