High Point Strikers win Highlands Cup

SUSSEX BOROUGH — The High Point Strikers 16-and-younger girls team took on the 2015 Highlands Cup tournament in Long Valley N.J. this year by storm.
After finishing the regular season with a 6-2-2 record, the girls looked to the tournament to stake their final claim of the 2015 spring. Winning in dominant fashion, the team defeated all four opponents, scoring a total of eight goals and allowing only one. The biggest statement was made in the championship game when the Strikers defeated the much older and more experienced 18-and-younger Long Valley Mystix with a final of 2-1.
