Womans Club gives scholarships

VERNON — The GFWC Vernon Township Woman's Club annually awards two $500 Community Service Scholarships to local students to assist with their college education expenses.

This year’s recipients were graduates from Vernon Township High School’s class of 2015. Woman’s Club President Judy Filippini and Education Chairperson Valerie Seufert presented the awards at the school’s Senior Awards Ceremony to Abigail Kucks and Katie Hertlein, both of whom plan to pursue careers in the nursing field.
