— The SCARC Foundation, a New Jersey-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, is holding a fundraiser this month with the Sussex County Miners. Baseball fans can purchase tickets to the Sussex County Miners July 21 home game against the Rockland Boulders, and 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the SCARC Foundation, the fundraising arm of SCARC, Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services Inc.

The SCARC choir will sing the National Anthem and throw out the first pitch.

“The Sussex County Miners are deeply proud to be working with SCARC for the benefit of our friends and neighbors with developmental disabilities. We encourage all members of the community to take part in this worthy fundraiser,” said Dave Chase, General Manager of the Sussex County Miners.

The game starts at 7:05 p.m. at Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place.

To participate in the fundraiser, baseball fans must purchase the tickets directly from The SCARC Foundation. Ticket prices are $11 for a single ticket, $20 for two tickets and $38 for four tickets. Stop by the SCARC office or contact Foundation Development Director Chris Hemmer at chemmer@scarc.org or 973-383-7442 x260 to purchase tickets.

“We are so grateful for our partnership with the Sussex County Miners. In addition to raising funds, we are able to increase the visibility of our organization in the community as well,” said Chris Hemmer, Director of Development at SCARC.

SCARC, Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services Inc. serves more than 750 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. It is the largest comprehensive organization in Sussex County, New Jersey, meeting the needs of this special population.
