Vernon pair launch Kickstarter for shelving system

David Blauvelt and Lisa Albertini, William Paterson University students who both live in Vernon, won the fourth annual William Paterson University Business Concept Competition with their product Hexacomb Shelving, a hexagon-shaped modular shelving system, in April. Now, they have launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help them grow their business.

The contest, which was open to all undergraduate and graduate students at the university, had finalists provide an outline of their business plan and give presentations to a panel of judges experienced in business and marketing. In the presentation, Blauvelt and Albertini gave "a description of the product or service, cash flow and break-even points, marketing and advertising plans, and target market."
