June Marie McKenna

June Marie McKenna (nee Stinnard), 82 years old, died after a long illness at Milford Manor Nursing Home, West Milford, N.J., on Sunday, June 21, 2015. Born to Edward and Helen Stinnard in Bronx, N.Y., she had lived in the Bronx, then Fairfield, CT and West Nyack, NY before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., 20 years ago.

June had worked as a receptionist for Dan River Mills in New York City, N.Y., and was a parishioner of St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, N.J. She loved to cook, playing Bingo, following QVC and vacationing with family at Cape May, N.J. She was a dedicated homemaker who took great joy in spending time with her family.

June was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Boydston (1999) and a sister, Helen Regan and was the beloved wife for 56 years of John McKenna of Vernon Twp., N.J. Devoted mother of Lori McKenna of Newark, N.J., and John McKenna of Tuxedo Park, N.Y. Loving grandmother of Kristin, Jenna, Tiffany, Danielle, Brenden, Ryan and Kyle. Great-grandmother of Angelyse, Michayla, Lukas and Kaylin.

The family will receive their friends for memorial visitation at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J., on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, N.J., at 10 a.m. Cremation is private.
