    Glenn Alan Stickle, Sr., 76 years old, died after a short illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp., N.J., on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Born to Cyrus and Inez Stickle in Newfoundland, N.J., he lived there before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., 30 years ago.

    Glenn was a heavy equipment operator starting at the Haledon Quarry and then for John Joseph, Inc. Blasting Contractors in Ringwood, N.J., and retired from Martin Realties in Newton, N.J., in 2011. Glenn was a mason for more than 50 years with F & AM Silentia Lodge #168 in Butler, N.J.. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling. He was the proud owner of a Ski Doo Dealership in Newfoundland for several years.

    Glenn was predeceased by his first wife, Jacqueline Stickle (1994) and 2 brothers, Cyrus and Carl Stickle and was the beloved husband for 17 years of Joanna A. Stickle (nee Polito) of Vernon Twp., N.J. Devoted father of Glenn A. Stickle, Jr. of Glenwood, N.J., Carrie Heiney of Highland Lakes, N.J. and Brian Stickle of Statesville, N.C. Stepfather of George Soder, Jr. of Vernon Twp., N.J., Timothy S. Soder of Vernon Twp., N.J., Pamela A. Soder of Vernon Twp., N.J., and Gregory T. Soder of Tinton Falls, N.J. Cherished by 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J., on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
