VERNON — Last weekend was most rewarding to Cub Scouts from Vernon Cub Scout Pack 404 for their annual camporee.
The get-together for scouts and their families was help on the upper field at Ricky Farm on Route 94.
The weekend's entertainment included an air show and lots of rocket launchings. On hand for a Saturday afternoon demonstration was Sensei Tom Shull and members of his Vernon Valley Karate Academy.
Many of the scouts also climbed the Stairway to Heaven for some beautiful views from the top of the Wawayanda escarpment and the Pinwheel Vista.
