Kathleen 'Kitty' Kinney

    Kathleen “Kitty” Kinney passed away on June 13, 2015, at the home of her daughter, Sandra, and son-in-law, Joseph Cromwell, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of the late Mae and Virgil Kinney. She was born in Sussex, N.J., and was a lifelong resident of Sussex County and Orange county area.

    She owned and operated Kitty’s Beauty Salon in Unionville during the 1960s through the 1970s retiring at 70 years old. Kitty worked up until her illness at the Village Hall in Unionville as an office manager and helped start the Unionville Community Center. She raised several foster children and always had room for girls who needed a safe haven for a while. Kitty was a founding member of the Lenape Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

    Kitty was predeceased by her son Albert Hulcher Jr., and her 2 brothers and one sister.

    Kitty is survived by daughter Sandra Cromwell and husband Joseph of Unionville, N.Y., her sister, Alice Panasik, her grandchildren, Joseph Cromwell, Jr. and wife Maryanne, Tommy Hulcher, Bonnie and Jennifer, and her great grandchildren, Richard Cromwell, Jen and Julie, and her many nieces and nephews.

    Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday June 20, from 10 a.m. to time of memorial services at 11 a.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J.
