Art Academy expands into Warwick

VERNON — Art Academy, located at 187 Breakneck Road Highland Lakes, recently opened its doors on Feb. 21, and has become a popular place to visit and enjoy a night out painting with friends. With more than 1,000 Facebook fans in less than three months, it is now expanding its doors and partnering with Love Life Tattoo and Art Studio, located at 10 South Street, Warwick, N.Y., to share the fun and excitement of creating art with friends.

These events will be one Thursday night each month. Each event will feature a special theme.

The first event will be on June 25, at 6-9 p.m. This month’s theme will be “Van Gogh Sunflowers." Locals will paint a custom acrylic painting taught by local Vernon Township artist Michael Accardi. The cost will be $40 per person and will include light snacks.
