    May 22Frances Diorio, 29, of Vernon Township was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft after police responded to The Great Gorge Condominiums for report of a suspicious person.

    Police said the victim reported a bag containing critical work items were taken from his vehicle sometime during the overnight hours. Police said Diorio was arrested after an investigation, and all the victim's stolen property was located and returned.

    He has a first appearance in Sussex County Superior Court in Newton. Anyone with further information is urged to contact the Vernon Township Police Department, 973-764-6155.

    May 25Gregg Hollister was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to exhibit proof of insurance after police responded to a report of a man staggering in the A&P parking lot.

    Police said Hollister was arrested as he was leaving the parking lot in his vehicle.

    May 27Carly Hurd, 21, of Sussex Borough was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said they observed a white Nissan Sentra driving at a high rate of speed.

    Police said an investigation alleged she was driving while intoxicated.

    She also was charged with speeding and was released.

    Dana Mack, 36, of Highland Lakes was charged on an arrest warrant out of West Milford for failure to appear on a traffic warrant.

    Mack posted bail and was released pending a court date in Vernon Township Municipal Court.

    May 29John R. Wood, 32, of Warwick, N.Y., was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. after police said they saw the driver smoke marijuana from a glass pipe as he waited in traffic.

    Roy Delillo, 27, of Sussex Borough was charged with possession of hypodermic needles and having drug paraphernalia aftter police said they observed him not wearing his seatbelt.

    Police said he also was found to have a no-bail warrant out of Passaic County. He also was said to have two hypodermic needles and paraphernalia used to ingest heroin.

    He was transferred to the custody of Passaic County.

    May 30Alyssa Kurdziel, 25, of Lyndhurst was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after police were dispatched to the Marketplace Deli for an employee who found an unconscious woman in the bathroom.

    Police allege Kurdziel had ingested heroin. She was transported to Newton Hospital where sh ewas treated and released before being summoned back to the police station where she was charged.

    She was processed and released pending a Sussex County Superior Court appearance.

    Bryan Guthrie, 39, of Highland Lakes was charged with throwing an object at the victim's car after police responded to a report.

    Police said the victim caused significant damage to the passenger's side front quarter panel.

    He was released pending a superior court appearance.
