    Robert Hester, 29, of Newark pleaded guilty to theft by deception and forgery, both crimes of the third degree and passing a bad check, a crime of the fourth degree.

    Sentencing is presently scheduled for May 29, 2015.

    The defendant purchased a vehicle from the Wantage victim using a fake name and giving the victim a bad check. Hester never made good on the check or returned the car to

    Allen N. Parks, 51, of Philadelphia was sentenced to four years in New Jersey state prisons. He must also pay $50,000 restitution to the victim.

    He pleaded guilty on Dec. 15, 2014, to six counts of burglary, a crime of the third degree and one count of second-degree theft.

    Between October of 2013 and March of 2014 the defendant broke into four different Century Link facilities in Sussex County taking electronic equipment from the facilities.

    May 11
    Tamarri Valentine, 29, of Newark pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, both crimes of the third degree.

    Sentencing is scheduled for June 26, 2015.

    In December of 2014 Franklin police received a report of someone attempting to sell narcotics. Investigation found Valentine in possession of Heroin and Oxycodone.

    Jeffrey O. Ramirez, 23, of Sparta pleaded guilty to second-degree eluding, fourth-degree assault by auto, the disorderly persons offense of resisting arrest and motor vehicle offenses of driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, failure to observe signal and driving with no insurance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for July 31, 2015.

    On Jan. 31, 2015, in Sparta, Ramirez was driving under the influence and struck a Sparta police officer’s vehicle after the officer had signaled him to stop, causing bodily injury to the officer. He continued driving after hitting the vehicle and was later found at his residence, where he resisted arrest when the officers attempted to remove him from the home. The matter was investigated by Detective J. Antonello of the Sparta Township Police Department.

    James Schamble, 61, of Highland Lakes pleaded guilty to sale of wildlife and possession of marijuana, both fourth-degree crimes, the disorderly persons offense of sale of wildlife, summons complaints charging possession of untagged deer parts, possession of untagged bear parts and failure to keep a proper ledger for a deer/bear processing business.

    Sentencing is anticipated for July 10, 2015.

    In pleading guilty, Schamble admitted to selling wildlife meat products illegally and being in possession of wildlife parts illegally. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana during a search warrant conducted at his residence in Vernon on Feb. 10. The matter was investigated by Officer A. Ocampo of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.

    Paige Chuprevich, 25, of Hewitt pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license, a crime of of the fourth degree.

    Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 17.

    The defendant was found operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension for a second or subsequent time driving while intoxicated.

    Julian Vega, 22, of Andover pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, fourth-degree receiving stolen property and fourth-degree conspiracy to commit shoplifting.

    Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 10, 2015.

    In April of 2014 the defendant waited outside of Byram Shop-Rite in a handicapped space while his co-defendant shoplifted baby formula. He drove away as soon as his co-defendant came out of the store with the formula. In September 2014, defendant had an active warrant out for his arrest. During the arrest, he admitted having heroin on his person to Byram police. The defendant was found to be in possession of glassine baggies containing heroin.

    Heather Hardick, 32, of Wantage pleaded guilty to fourth-degree throwing bodily fluids and violating a probation term.

    Sentencing is scheduled for June 19.

    When New Jersey State Troopers responded to an incident involving the defendant she was found intoxicated and she spat on one of the troopers.

    Brianna L. Barton, 31, of Franklin pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and the disorderly person offense of resisting arrest.

    Sentencing is scheduled for June 26.

    On Dec. 7, 2014, police were called to the defendant’s residence in Franklin for a dispute among family members. Barton became mildly combative when officers attempted to arrest her and a search of her jacket revealed a wax fold containing heroin. The matter was investigated by Detective R.
