Highland Stage announces auditions for Footloose

VERNON — The Highland Stage, in Vernon, is holding auditions for their summer musical Footloose on May 28 at 6 p.m. and May 30 at 1 p.m. at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church located on Sandhill Road in Vernon.

The production will be July 31 through Aug. 8 at the Vernon Township High School. Performers must be 10 to 20 years of age. All interested in auditioning will be required to sing a song from a Broadway Musical. A piano player will be provided so you must bring sheet music. There is a $75 registration fee for all cast.

This musical represents the company’s annual Summer Youth Theatre Project. The show is directed by Heather Burns, musical direction is by Faith Anderson and choreography is by Renee Ziegler. Jon Hartlage is the orchestra conductor and new musicians are welcome.
