Irene Duffy

Irene Duffy, age 73, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Kindred Hospital at St. Clare's in Dover. Born in Jersey City to the late Gus and Mary (Kelly) Andersen, Mrs. Duffy had lived in Pequannock until she moved to Wantage in 2005. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Lincoln Park Board of Education and had retired in 2002 from Montville Board of Education. She was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg and had attended St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex. Mrs. Duffy is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Duffy; her son, Bill Duffy of Allentown, Pa., and Kevin Duffy and his wife, Tracee, of Gilbert, Arizona; her niece, Karen Klukowicz and her husband, Alan, of North Caldwell; and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Billy K., Kendyll and Taylor Duffy.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, Illinois 60611-3201.
