Skylands Stadium to host circus

    To kick off its first summer of fun family events, Skylands Stadium announced that the world-class Circus Maximus will appear at the stadium on Friday, June 12, Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14.

    Children and adults will be dazzled by the country’s most adept daredevils, as they walk the high wire, swing on the flying trapeze and dangle skillfully from a 90-foot swaypole, high above the stands.

    On Friday, June 12, Circus Maximus starts at 7:05 p.m.. On Saturday, shows are at 2:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. On Sunday, the performances are at 2:05 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. All circus performances will be preceded by Commerford’s World Famous Petting Zoo & Live Animal Rides, featuring elephants, camels, ponies, kangaroos, goats, llamas and animals from around the world. The Petting Zoo fun starts at 5:35 p.m. on Friday; at 12:35 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. on Saturday; and at 12:35 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. on Sunday.

    Tickets, which include both the circus and zoo, are $12 for children and adults. Parking is free (there will be an extra charge for animal rides). Coupons are available at www.skylandsstadium.com. Each coupon may be used for more than one full price ticket. Group ticket rates are available for parties of 30 or more for $8 each.
