    — Registered voters who will not be able to get to the polls for the June 2 Primary Election, or who simply want to avoid potential lines at the polls, may apply in person for an early voting ballot with the Sussex County Clerk’s Office in Newton.

Because the deadline to receive a mail-in ballot by mail has passed, voters now must apply for a mail-in ballot in person.

Early voting is being conducted at the Clerk’s Office during regular hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours offered on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Voters also may vote early in person up until 3 p.m. on Monday, June 1.

The County Clerk’s Office is located on the main floor of 83 Spring St. in Newton, Suite 304, accessible from either Spring Street or Trinity Street.

More information about voting can be obtained by calling 973-579-0900 or by visiting the clerk’s Website at www.sussexcountyclerk.org.
