AUGUSTA — The Sussex Christian School Pro Rodeo was held on Saturday at the Fairgrounds.
The thunder and lightning storms moved in just as it was about to start and the crowds were evacuated from the bleachers for their safety. Three barns were full of rodeo goers watching the storm passed by.
Smaller kids became puddle jumpers playing in the rain.
The mud was a small challenge with some of the horses and bulls going down. Sussex Skyjumpers landed in the arena after coordinating a new jump time after the storm.
