Business closing brings life chapter to end

I have worked at Nearly New Consignments Boutique in McAfee, N.J., since its inception in 2006. Due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, owner Jeanne Michelle Bingaman, has had to make the difficult decision to close NNCB's doors just short of our 9 year anniversary. Unfortunately, Jeanne's mother was recently diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. Realizing that she needed to be there for her mother and support her through this stage in her life, closing her business had to be done. Over several years of working side-by-side with Jeanne, I have gained not only life experiences managing a small business at the ages of 16-23, but I have made an everlasting bond with a woman who I proudly call my "momma."

Nearly New Consignments Boutique has been my second home for over 8 years. I've met many wonderful women who I have also gained friendships with. I have experienced happiness and sadness; I have accomplished goals and graduated high school and college; I have faced challenges and overcame the obstacles of running a small business, often by myself. As bittersweet as it is that I will have to close the chapter of my life as assistant manager of NNCB, I will be moving forward with the knowledge, life skills, and love and support that Jeanne has taught me. Although we may not be able to share stories and laugh as much and as often as we did, we will always be a part of each other's lives and in each other's hearts. Our final day of business will be Saturday, May 30.
