Vernon police to close streets

    Vernon police will close streets on Saturday for the Vernon Chamber of Commerce's merchant's street fair and then again on Monday for the Vernon Township Memorial Day parade.

    Main Street will be closed Saturday from Route 94 and Guthrie Road from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. The street fair will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Access to Tapestry Hair Salon will be from the Route 94 side of Main Street during those hours. Access to all other businesses in the area must be by County Highway 515 and there will be no traffic allowed on Main Street.

    All participants attending the street fair are asked to park at the north end of the A&P Plaza, where shuttle buses will transport people to the event.

    Memorial Day Parade
    Route 94 will be closed between 10 a.m. and noon on Monday from the area of the Dairy Queen north to County Highway 515. Church street and Vernon Crossing Road also will be closed at that time.
