Vernon robotics team battles snow closings to finish robot

VERNON — Members of the Viking Robotics Team of Vernon Township High School had more competition this season than what met them in the arena.

A spate of snow closings and PARCC testing challenged coach Anthony Ciaburri and his team, interfering with a tight planning and building schedule.

Vernon has been fielding a Robotics team for nine years, teaching students practical programming and engineering skills.
