SPARTA — Dancers from Dance Expression recently performed at Kids Artistic Revue Dance Competition at Sussex Technical High School from May 8-10.

Elite top-first place awards went to "Flashdance" for production in the Jazz Production category, "Journey" in the Teen Small Group Modern category, and "Spirit of the Sun" in the Large Teen Large Group Modern category.

"Breate" won overall first place for a primary large group and the Artistry in Motion Award in the Large Group Modern category."

"Big Noise" won second place for a primary small group in the Small Group Jazz category. "Appalachian Spring" won the Beauty and Grace award in the Junior Small Group Ballet.

"Clipped Wings" won elite top first place award in the Small Group Contemporary category and "Pre-Effect" won in the teen Small Group Contemporary category.
