Warriors wear down Vikings

The Delaware Valley Warriors quickley turned this contest into a hit parade. A combination of several home runs and sharp fielding enabled Delaware Valley High School to subdue the Vernon Township High School Vikings in varsity baseball.

The game took place on Tuesday, May 12 at Vernon Township High School in Glenwood. The final score was 11-1.

Nothing seemed to go right for Vernon including a controversial home run call in the fourth inning. In the fourth inning, Vernon outfielder Michael Suppa made what seemed like a spectacular stretch out catch over the fence. But officials called the play a home run in Delaware Valley's favor. The reasoning was that Suppa extended the field of play.

Vernon's Matt Emerson scored the only point for Vernon on a solo home run in the fourth inning.
