VERNON — United Way manager Kathy Kwasnik showed Child Development students from Vernon Township High School how to use the "I Care Cat" as part of a peacemaking program to help young children solve conflicts with each other.
She explained the Success by Six program, which promotes quality child care centers and the access to them by all families. Students also were given information on how to obtain the Child Development Associate credential. The students in Mrs. Tassey’s class operate an on-site preschool as part of their coursework.
Parents interested in enrolling their preschoolers in the program, which starts in October 2015, can contact dtassey@vtsd.com.
