    Raymond Cullen, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Raymond Cullen and Loretta Mastropolo, he was raised in the Forest Hills section of Queens, New York, and graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1957. Mr. Cullen served in the United States Army as a MP during the Vietnam War. He moved to Wantage 42 years ago. Mr. Cullen was a service engineer for Pitney Bowes in Elmwood Park for 34 years and had retired at age 58. He was a member of St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex, the NRA, was a coach for the Sussex-Wantage Little League for 7 years, and enjoyed target shooting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their various sporting events, dance recitals and horse back riding. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Cullen; his sister, Marilyn Fernandez, and his in-laws, Harold and Genevieve Golden. Mr. Cullen is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Ann (Golden) Cullen; his son, Raymond J. Cullen, III, and his wife, Kim, of Frankford Township; his two daughters, Cherie Chernesky and her husband, Edward, of Byram and Dawn Stone and her husband, Daniel, of Frankford Township; his sister, Genevieve Rerecich of North Miami Beach, Fla.; his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Christie Chernesky; Ricky and Ryan Cullen, and John Stone; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, May 15, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation services will be held at the convenience of the family.
