Vernon native honored as servant leader

Vernon native and Seton Hall University student Gregory Turner has been honored as a 2015 Servant Leader Award honorable mention.

Turner, College of Nursing, was recognized for his outstanding compassion for others. Turner re-established Seton Hall University's American Assembly for Men in Nursing chapter, organized Seton Hall nursing students to volunteer at the U.N., educated legislative representatives in Albany, N.Y., on environmental public health issues and served on a medical mission to Haiti.

He also will participate in service trips to Honduras and West Virginia.
