Nancy Lillian Gunn

Nancy Lillian Gunn, 71 years old, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J. Born in Orange, N.J. on Jan. 14, 1944, to Alfred and Audrey Gunn, she grew up in East Orange. She resided in Cedar Grove, N.J., for 27 years before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., in 1977. In 2007, Nancy moved to Devon Woods in Warwick, N.Y., where she resided until Sept. of 2013. Due to failing health she became a resident of the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, N.J.

Nancy graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School in 1962. She went on to graduate from the Northeastern Bible College, where she received her Bachelor of Religious Education degree. Following her graduation, Nancy served with several children’s groups and mission boards including Children’s Bible Mission, Child Evangelism Fellowship of N.J., and Children’s Bible Fellowship of N.Y., until her retirement in 1995.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred, in 1964 and Audrey in 2010. She is survived by her two sisters, Carol Kadish and her husband, Daniel, of Vernon Twp., N.J., and Pamela Tilli and her husband, Lawrence, of Hardyston Twp., NJ, her niece, Erin Luzadder and her husband, Shane, grandnieces Norah and Riley Luzadder.

Private cremation services by Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to the Calvary Baptist Church, 5 Wisner Road, Warwick, NY 10990 or to The Christian Health Care Center Foundation, 301 Sicomac Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 would be appreciated.
