County to offer women's healt screenings

HAMBURG — The Sussex County Department of Environmental and Public Health Serivces, Office of Public Health Nursing will sponsor four women's health screenings in May and June at 201 Wheatsworth Road, Suite 4.

The screenings will be Friday, May 29, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.; Thursday, June 4, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. until noon, and Monday, June 15, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

the screening will include a thin-prep PAP test, clinical breast exam, colorectal testing and mammography scheduling. Mammograms are scheduled at a later date.

There is no fee for grant-eligible participantts. the cost is $25 cash or check if not NJCEED, which is to be collected at the time of appointment. This screening clinic is available to Sussex County residents who have no insurance to cover routine screenings and participants in NJCEED. Residents who have comprehensive health care insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid are NOT ELIGIBLE for this clinic service.
