Vernon PAL holds Youth Leadership Day

Cellist Victoria Menenes, 16, a junior at Vernon Township High School, performed a medley of American patriotic songs during the annual Vernon PAL Youth Leadership Cultural Day.

VERNON — Children and their families visited the Vernon Police Athletic League gymnasium on Saturday to appreciate a broad sampling of international cuisine, as well as cooking lessons, and arts and crafts.
With a theme of “Cultural Day 2015: Connect with Culture,” this family-oriented interactive program was geared toward young children and their parents.
A wide variety of food offerings were donated by Milanos, the Irish Cottage Inn, Smokey’s, the Vernon Inn, the George Inn, Pizza Pros, Paesanos, Holland American Bakery, Pochuck Valley Farm and Cravin Thai.
