28th Skylands Regional Juried Art Exhibit

NEWTON — The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council will be hosting the 28th Annual Skylands Regional Juried Art Exhibit on May 2. This exhibition is considered a benchmark for quality art shows in the New Jersey Highlands.

Artists from the Tri-state area and beyond were invited to submit their works for consideration. The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council received almost 300 entries. After lengthy deliberation 83 pieces of exceptional quality art were selected to be showcased in this yearly and highly anticipated event.

Generous donations from sponsors and supporters of the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council have raised almost $3,000 for cash prize awards.

The opening champagne reception and award ceremony will be held on May 2 from 4 to 6 p.m.

John Pope, on classical guitar will be the evening’s entertainment. Tickets to the reception are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reservations can be made by calling 973-383-0027.
