Anna Marie Van Tassel

    Anna Marie Van Tassel, 84, passed away on Thursday April 22, 2015 at the Barn Hill Care Center in Newton, NJ. She was born on Sept. 11, 1930, to the late Floyd W. and Ada H. (nee Ritenauer) Brewer. She was a longtime resident of Franklin, N.J.

    Anna was a cook for the Franklin and Hardyston Township Board of Education for many years before retiring in 2002. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin. She enjoyed her family and cooking, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

    Anna was predeceased by her husband. Garfield Van Tassel, in 1997 and her brothers Hazel, Kenzel, and her sister Winifred.

    Anna is survived by her sons, Garfield Van Tassel Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Franklin, Mark Van Tassel and his wife, Michelle, of Vernon, and David Van Tassel and his wife, Dale, of Lyman S.C., and her cherished seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and her four brothers, Frank, Charles, John and Elwood, and her two sisters, Mary Ann, and Dorothy and her many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday April 27, at 11 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J., interment at the North Hardyston Cemetery.
