Vernon summer league opens in summer

VERNON — The Vernon Women's Softball, a modified slow-pitch league, is open to all women ages 18 and up.
The summer league runs mid-June through mid-August. Teams play an average of two games per week. Games start at 6:30 p.m. and are played at the Walnut Ridge school fields in Vernon.
The league is accepting new teams into the league as well as individual players. Cost is $35 per player.
