Gregory Brian Bremer, Sr., 54 years old, died suddenly at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock, N.J., on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Born to Edward and Barbara Bremer in Paterson, N.J., he had lived in Oakland and Fair Lawn, N.J., before moving to the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Twp., N.J., 30 years ago.

Gregory received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was finishing his MS at Stevens Institute of Technology. He was an engineer for Exelis in Clifton, NJ for 34 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes, N.J. He was an active Life and Exempt member of the Highland Lakes Fire Department. He enjoyed working and helping out others.

Gregory is predeceased by his father, Edward Bremer, and was the devoted husband to Ann Bremer(nee La Fond) of Highland Lakes, N.J. Devoted father of Samantha Bremer of Woodland Park, N.J., and Gregory B. Bremer, Jr. of Amityville, N.Y. Loving son of Barbara Bremer of Wayne, N.J. Dear brother of Edward Bremer and his wife, Joan, of Oakland, N.J., Robert Bremer and his wife, Martha, of Walden, N.Y., and Kevin Bremer and his wife, Sherilyn, of Oakland, N.J. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J. on Monday, April 13, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes, N.J. Cremation will be private. Highland Lakes Fire Department service will be Monday at 7 p.m. Memorial gifts to Highland Lakes Fire department, P.O.
