Vernon woman's club donates Easter surprises

VERNON — The GFWC Vernon Township Woman’s Cub recently brought the joy of Easter to 21 children in Sussex County.
Club members purchased books, stuffed toys, crayons and other non-candy items which were packaged in \ baskets and wrapped in cellophane. The baskets were delivered to the Domestic Abuse Services shelter, Sunrise Halfway House and transitional housing apartments.
The children living in those temporary locations woke up to discover that the Easter Bunny knew where to find them
The Vernon Township Woman’s Club has been serving the local community since 1972.
