Vernon PAL plans fishing derby

VERNON — The Vernon Police Athletic League and Vernon Township will sponsor annual Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 16.
The Fishing Derby will be open to children in grades Kindergarten-6th grade. Children must provide their own fishing pole and bait and need to be accompanied by an adult. Registration for Kindergarten-second grade is at 8:45 a.m. with fishing from 9-10 a.m. and registration for third through sixth grade will be at 10:30 a.m. and the contest will begin at 10:45 a.m.
The derby is free and will be held rain-or-shine.
