Evelyn H. Olinger

Evelyn H. Olinger (nee Hayden), 82 years old, died after a long illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Fredon Twp., N.J., on Monday, April 6, 2015. Born to Leo and Cleo Hayden in Saltville, Va, she moved to Sussex County in 1969 and has resided in Sussex, NJ for the last 29 years.

Evelyn worked at Space Farms and then for Solo Plastics Co. in Sussex, N.J., in the 70s, then Mack Wayne Plastics in Newton and E.J. Brooks in Newton before retiring in 1984.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Carl Olinger, Sr(2004), a son, Kenneth Lee Olinger(2012), brothers, Roy Hayton(2006), Kenneth Hayden, Coy and Foy Hayden, sisters, Willie May Sanders, Ann Stella Williams(2008) and Peggy Cardwell (2011), son-in-law, William Martin, Jr.(2013) and brother-in-law, Bob Call (2011) and was the devoted mother of Carl Edward Olinger, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Wantage Twp., N.J., Theresa Martin of Stillwater, N.J., Mary Pearsall of Culvers Lake, N.J., Cathy Dunn of Branchville, N.J., Kelvin Olinger and his wife, Emily, of Sussex, N.J., Melissa Wildrick and her husband, Jerry, of Wantage Twp., NJ and John M. Olinger and his wife, Amy, of Wantage Twp., NJ. Mother in law of Kathy Harris Olinger of Hewitt, N.J. Dear sister of Dot Call of Saltville, VA, Nellie Ward and her husband, Leslie, of Fincastle, Va. and Betty P. Anderson and her husband, Charlie of Meadowview, VA. Sister in law of Roger Cardwell of Chilhowie, Va. and Mary Lulabelle Hayton of Meadowview, Va. Cherished by 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt.
